I am Alok Shankar, an Engineering Leader and Inventor with a rich background in Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, Edge Computing, Healthcare IT & AI, and Networking. I earned my Master’s degree from the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University and have gathered over 15 years of extensive experience in the field.
Currently, I’m making strides as an Engineering Manager at Oracle, dedicated to enhancing seamless exchange in the Oracle Health AI organization. Beyond my managerial role, I am also an Angel Investor and a member of the Angel Squad at Hustle Fund VC.
My passion and expertise extend to advisory roles in several startups. My journey includes fruitful collaborations with industry giants like Microsoft, Cisco, Sumo Logic, and Big Switch/Arista.
I am also a Hindi poet and lyricist, with my work showcased in multiple Indian literary magazines and featured in radio programs and interviews. My creative journey includes penning a Bollywood song by the iconic Mohit Chauhan and contributions to other songs and albums. I have some published work in books like "Ek Katra Aasmaan" and "Sambhavna dot com."
In the world of technological innovation, I’ve made significant contributions in fields like cloud-edge device virtualization, edge device provisioning and uninterrupted network upgrades. My leadership roles have been crucial in pioneering major cloud products and services, including spearheading the customer experience cloud services for Roving Edge Infrastructure at Oracle.
